International Festival 13 August - 3 September 2006
2003 was a highly successful year and ticket sales broke all previous records with the main growth area in visitors from the UK. The Festival also maintained its position as Scotland's most successful performing arts organisation at raising money from corporate sponsorship and donations.in 2003.
The 2004 Edinburgh International Festival will welcome some of the world's great orchestras and cutting edge choreographers, familiar names and world premieres, opera and intimate chamber music.
Military Tattoo 4 - 26 August 2006
This spectacular event attracts visitors from across the globe and was a complete sell out in 2003.
Set against the stunning backdrop of Edinburgh Castle, the 55th Edinburgh Military Tattoo promises to be bigger and better than ever. It’s the largest single gathering of military musicians in the UK including the Massed Bands of the Royal Air Force. Also among the 1,000 strong line-up for 2004 are The Queen’s Colour Squadron, the South African Navy Band and the famous RAF silent drill display team.
We strongly suggest to get tickets well in advance as they were all sold prior to the first performance last year.
