Edinburgh Festivals I

Edinburgh has been at the forefront of establishing a calendar of events for over 25 years with a series of festivals that cover diverse interests for people of all ages.

The main 'season' has traditionally been during high summer, but keen to establish year round choice, the city's tourist bodies have added the Easter Festival as well as Capital Christmas which helped Edinburgh achieve it busiest month ever for visitors.

Many of the events are free along with frequent street shows during the summer and at New Year. However some popular shows such as the Tattoo are sold out long before the first shows start.

There are Festivals in Edinburgh throughout the year.
